The Drafter/Designer position, reporting to the Plant Services Supervisor, is based out of Conda Phosphate Operations and will be responsible to perform a wide variety of functions.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide Drafting/Design services as requested to plant personnel
  • Manage and prioritize Drafting Requests
  • Manage, maintain, and update Plant Drawing Index, requires knowledge of Visual Basic
  • Review, update and/or develop P&ID’s
  • Review, update and/or develop Piping Isometrics
  • Field verification as required to create, update, void, or complete drawings
  • Complete MOC and Incident task assignments
  • Line locating for utilities, i.e. gas, electric, water, etc. and update drawings as needed
  • Manage excavation permits/drawing changes/updates
  • Check drawings in/out to outside contractors as requested
  • Assign drawing numbers for new drawings both in the plant and to outside contractors
  • Assist project managers with drawing review(s)
  • Document review for drafting program including, excavation permits, drafting requests, line locating, etc.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Possess an associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent work experience plus additional qualifications/certifications
  • Competency with AutoCAD 2019, AutoCAD 3D Plant P&ID 2019, Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF editing software
  • Knowledge of mechanical, structural, piping, HVAC, and equipment layout in industrial facilities
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and one-line diagrams is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to improve existing processes and drive progress
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and ability to exercise judgment on confidential matters
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results/goal orientation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced team environment
